Thousands if Americans struggle with an addiction to the drug and are looking for the power to Quit Smoking Marijuana. The addiction is actually not to the plant, but the the drug Tetrahydrocannabinol which is also most commonly referred to as THC.

If you arrived at this Website, chances are that you or someone close to you is a regular user of Marijuana. I’ve been a regular user, sometimes a daily smoker, for over 10 years. There have been periods during these years when I took long breaks without smoking, sometimes as long as 3-4 months. I felt like I was beyond the ‘addiction’; that I was better than the drug and that I was in control. The reality is that I wasn’t in control. I was ashamed of myself and disappointed that this herb took control of my life as it did.

The reality is there are unlimited ways to get high from marijuana, and from experience I can say I’ve tried and enjoyed getting high through all the means available. Marijuana is a plant-based drug – a ‘weed’ that grows readily and easily in nature or hydroponic grow rooms. Marijuana has been decriminalized in many countries but it’s still a serious felony in the United States.

I will continue writing this assuming that you are a daily user, as I was for many years. Maybe you roll joints, smoke from a one-hitter or load bowls in a glass pipe. Maybe you smoke from a water bong, get high with a vaporizer or eat pot brownies. There are other methods but you know what you do.

You’ve heard, as I did for so many years, that it’s not addictive. Whether you call it refer, pot, weed, ganja, green, herb, nuggets or some other slang term, you know it’s not as safe or healthy as you heard, or thought. You still believe it’s not as bad as any of the hard-cord drugs like heroin, crank, crystal meth, cocaine, ecstasy, etc; and this is true. You probably also believe (and rightfully so), that weed is not as bad as alcohol or cigarettes.

However, you’re here because you’ve had enough. As I am, you’re tired of your own actions and you don’t want to hear the ‘hippie-speak’ that marijuana is not only safe, but good. The reality is that marijuana is born from a plant, but it’s a drug composed of THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) which is a cellular-damaging chemical structure produced when heat is applied to the source plant – the dried-out plant ‘buds’. This drug is not much different than a cigarette when it is burned. It changes in chemical composition but also produces hallucinogenic results, tar and other damaging chemicals that don’t belong in your lungs.

Checkout this great video on stopping the inhalation:

So here’s what I’m currently trying to get me through. I can’t vouch for everything, but I’ve tried many methods, and these are 3 of the best I’ve found:

1) Cannabis Coach. This is a stop smoking audio program available for immediate download. You can listen to this on your computer, burn it to a CD, copy it to an MP3 player, etc. This is a great tool for those who prefer to sit back and listen to an accomplished coach.

2) Will Peterson’s 9 Minute Program. Will provides a 9 minute stop program that is quick to learn and very effective. He discusses the emotional side of an addiction which is useful if you’re one of those people who has stopped before but started smoking again.

3) Quit Smoking through Detox. THC is stored in the fat cells and stays in the body for longer than almost any other drug. In fact, THC will not leave the body until the fat cells which are storing it are metabolized. This marijuana detox method is very effective for people that have smoked regularly over time, never giving their body the chance to rid itself of the THC.
